I submit this application to express my sincere interest in the aircraft assembler position.

Previously, I was responsible for planning guidance and advise for assisting in developing estimates for types of aircraft to be used for loads.

I reviewed the requirements of the job opening and I believe my candidacy is an excellent fit for this position. Some of the key requirements that I have extensive experience with include:

• Hold a college or other program in aviation or aeronautical technology, with emphasis in aircraft assembly
• Assembly, installation, rework, adjustment, and testing of Environmental Control System assemblies, and portions of systems of pre-production, developmental, or production aircraft
• Determine locations, identify, and relationship of parts from production blueprints and adequate information to assemble, install, rework and adjust airplane Environmental Control System (ECS) assemblies and portions of systems
• Work with jigs, fixtures, and tooling or without them when work operations do not require their use
• Improvise simple production aids such as holding clamps to assist in accomplishing assembly or installation operations
• Routine pressure testing for malfunction or leaks previous to or after installations, including filling ECS lines and checking for leaks
• Perform such work in other fields as is necessary to complete assignments
• Use blueprints and production illustrations to obtain easily identified reference information and process and material callouts

• Experience working with fasteners, riveting, counter sinking preferred
• Previous hands-on experience with drilling tools, templates, drilling machines, fasteners, and torqueing tools
• Knowledge of aircraft mechanical component and repair procedures
• Currently enrolled full time or part time in an A&P (Airframe and Powerplant) certificate program
• Experience reading and interpreting written specifications, blueprints and engineering drawings
• Military aircraft assembly, maintenance and/or modification experience preferred
• Experience with drill ream and countersink, hydraulic installs
• Assembly, installation, and rework of airplane electrical and electronic parts, assemblies, and portions of systems of pre-production, developmental, or production aircraft

• Hooks up control panels, electrical boxes, and wiring circuits including routine continuity checking of installed electrical and electronic wiring
• General aircraft familiarization
• Training from a vocational school or previous employer in the use of application tools and in application techniques (preferred)
