- Knowledgeable regarding breast self-examinations via answering questions and providing written materials to patients
- Appropriately uses equipment, maneuvers the unit, and selects techniques to produce diagnostic images
- Appropriately uses radiation protection to ensure the safety of patients and staff and meets all ALARA program requirements

- Perform screening & diagnostic mammography, sterotactic breast biopsy
- Three years’ working experience as a radiologic technologist & strong knowledge of radiography services
- Outpatient service preferred
- Licensed by the Illinois Department of Nuclear safety (IDNS) May be exposed to hazardous materials
- May be exposed to life threatening diseases and flexible in changing environment
- Ability to lift and/or move patients, ability to transport objects form one location to another

Mammography Job Description
- Apply their knowledge of anatomy and physiology to the process in order to obtain high quality images
- Perform mammography, ultrasound of the breast, stereo core biopsy imaging and related procedures
- Performs a variety of tasks involving the operation of mammographic equipment and other equipment/devices as appropriate
- To assist the Director, Medical Director and Physicist in directing all aspects of care provided by the Medical Imaging Department, including but not limited to
- Obtains and documents patient history
- Positions patients and answers any questions or concerns

Mammography Job Description
- Perform high quality digital mammography exams on incoming patients using a Selena Hologic unit
- Review all requisitions for patient history, types of procedures, and requesting Physician
- Review for floor and type of patient
- Identify patient in accordance with established procedures
- Perform all procedures completely per departmental protocol
- Produce image with sufficient resolution, density, and penetration, including the complete are of interest to provide required diagnostic information
