- Maintain performance, your progress will be regularly evaluated in each of your duties, poor performance may result in your removal from the apprenticeship
- Apply and write the Provincial Examination within one (1) year of completion date of apprenticeship

- Able to evaluate condition of parts and equipment
- Able to discuss work orders, equipment malfunctions and job task coordination with co-workers
- Able to perform tasks independently under general direction
- Maintain continuous learning by reading manuals and bulletins to stay up-to-date with new developments
- May do some tack welding (a weld that is adequate in size to temporarily hold components in place until it can be completely welded by a registered apprentice welder or a journeyman welder) and fabrication maintain an inventory of replacement parts

- Answer and assist site clients by providing them with accurate and safe information while being an accountable representative of Powell Canada
- Conduct planned maintenance
- Provide feedback to supervisors on planned maintenance to ensure repairs are completed according to schedule
