- Create RDBMS best practices documentation and work with teams optimizing underlying databases
- Routine support includes software installs, updates and security patches, support to application specialists, and monitoring of systems and log files to ensure appropriate server resource availability for support-ed RDBMS products
- Maintain a continuing computer engineering knowledge of state-of-the-art development in hardware and software, their individual characteristics, capabilities, operations, and limitations
- Analyze data contained in databases and identify data integrity issues with existing and proposed systems
- Provide assistance and advice to Mission Operations users in the effective use of RDBMS products & technology
- Must have and maintain an ACTIVE Top Secret/SCI clearance (No candidates will be considered that do not meet the clearance requirement)
- Must must have or obtain a CI Poly
- Bachelors Degree in technical discipline (preferably Information Technology)
- 5 Years experience as SQL database Administrator
- Candidates must be actively 8570 compliant (Sec+, CISSP, etc)
- MCSE SQL Server or MCSA SQL Server
- Prior experience with RDBMS development in Perl, Shell Scripts and custom SQL Queries
- VMware virtualization awareness and experience
- Able to analyze data for evaluation of operational systems to establish requirements for modification or replacement
- Experience in resolving complex issues related to data base performance tuning and provisioning issues
- Must be able to travel approximately every other month
- Certification as an ORACLE Certified Professional (OCP) or Microsoft Certified DBA (MCDBA) strongly preferred
