- Fill one or all four roles within CardioVascular Wellness (CVW) Services
- The Cardiac Cath Lab Nurse RN demonstrates leadership in delivering and improving holistic care through collaborative strategies with others, mostly at the unit level, including functioning as Charge Nurse and the ability to delegate appropriately
- Able to identify an issue, analyze it, and develop and implement interventions
- Circulate, provide moderate sedation, monitor complex procedures to include RHC, LHC, cardioversion, TEEs, permanent pacemaker insertions and AICD insertions
- Advanced knowledge of equipment, medications, and supplies used in the Cardiac Cath Lab and an expert ability to set-up, operate, and troubleshoot this equipment and understanding of waveforms from the great vessels and all chambers of the heart including the ability to recognize and distinguish normal from abnormal, artifact from abnormality, and forewarn the physician of an impending life-threatening situation
- Patient appointment scheduling, Consult tracking documentation, patient pre-procedure instructions and post-procedure education
- Performs regular exercise testing, which includes graded maximal stress testing with Nuclear Imaging, cardiopulmonary stress testing, and stress echocardiography
- Performs pharmacologic stress testing with nuclear imaging or echocardiography
- Performs holter monitor procedures, scans data and generates a report for further evaluation by the physician
- Prepares and monitors patient during transesophogeal echocardiogram
- Bachelors or higher degree from an accredited Professional School of Nursing
- Minimum 2-5 years experience in CCU/ICU, coronary step-down units or Cardiac Rehab Program

- Prepares and educates patients, families, and employees about procedures to be administered

- Provide patient and family with education to identify risk factors and recommended modification plans to reduce those identified risk factors
