Ultrasound Tech Job Description
- Ability to stand, bend and /or stoop for extended periods of time
- Positions patients and equipment, manipulates transducers and technical factors in order to obtain images, heart rates, waveforms and other information as needed to obtain optimum images and information for diagnostic purposes
- Notes velocities, measures structures and documents adequate clinical history as needed for accurate interpretation by Radiologist
- Performs ultrasound Imaging procedures of abdominal, and pelvis structures, OB and trans-vaginal ultrasound

- Assists quality assurance testing on the ultrasound unit to ensure peak performance of the ultrasound equipment and maintains quality assurance records
- Knowledge and ability to perform all types of ultrasound procedures offered at HTMP including vascular studies with Radiologist's guidance
- Possess high degree of technical knowledge to perform basic ultrasound studies with minimal amount of assistance from Radiologist

- Registered with the Association of Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonography preferred
- PRN with mandatory rotation of call
