• Provide technical oversight and support to PMI/USAID Zika focus countries in making sure that entomological monitoring activities are conducted according to the WHO and CDC guidelines and best practices
• In collaboration with country project teams and Zika countries, entomology coordinators will participate in the identification, selection, and development of the scope of work for entomological monitoring sub-contracts and consultants when deemed necessary to implement entomological monitoring activities
• Support project countries in the analysis and write up of entomological monitoring reports with support from junior entomologist
• Review the content entomological monitoring reports for technical accuracy
• Advise USAID/PMI and counterparts in the selection of insecticides for adult and larval control based on evidences generated by the project and other partners
• Document and publish findings of entomological monitoring project, such as lessons learned and best practices in national, regional and international contexts
• Ensures the transfer of technical skills to local institutions
