  • Working on a variety of small to large projects spanning from residential, commercial and industrial developments
  • Develop good rapport with various levels of technical staff to assist in coordinating and scheduling field work of Golder employees and subcontractors
  • Using specialized equipment and apparatus to prepare analyses, reports and technical drawings
  • Summarizing and analyzing findings from investigations and laboratory testing for report preparation
  • Have or develop familiarty with various testing methods and specifications (including but not limited to CSA, ASTM, AASHTO, etc.) and apply these to field and laboratory activities; and
  • Working with and providing support to other members of the group in assisting with other field and office activities as required
  • Minimum of a Bachelor Degree from an accredited Canadian University in a Civil Engineering program preferably with a focus on Materials and/or Pavement Engineering
  • Post graduate degree in Civil Engineering with experience in concrete and/or asphalt materials would be an asset
  • Must be registered with PEO as an Engineer-in-Training or elgible to register
  • Previous experience working with construction materials is an asset
  • Must have access to a reliable vehicle and hold a valid driver’s license
  • Ability to write simple proposals and reports for a variety of clients including but not lmited to owners and other consultants
