  • Provide managerial oversight in supporting settlement of all purchased power agreements including providing resources for resolution of disputes, reviewing payments for compliance, interacting with Contract Managers to obtain concurrence of contractual interpretations, and monitoring and providing technical direction to aid in settling tolling agreements
  • Assist with analyzing and improving the settlements process, including designing metrics for measuring group performance
  • Perform supervisory tasks including preparation and delivery of performance reviews, assigning work, and development and coaching activities
  • Responsible for providing the analytical support to ensure contract compliance and to resolve contractual disputes
  • Leads and participates in system design enhancement activities, including drafting proposals or comments on system design revisions. Coordinates design activities across all impacted Company organizational units
  • Oversees the preparation of Energy Resource Recovery Account and other required regulatory compliance filings and reports, including all appropriate documentation. Also supports the preparation of Company management reports and responds to data requests
  • Supports regulatory proceedings, initiatives and inquiries related to the ongoing relationships between the Company and other power generators
  • Five years of project management, contract settlements, contract origination, and/or contract management experience or equivalent
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Office products including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
  • Strong ethics, influence and negotiation, leadership, initiative, and interpersonal skills as well as the ability to effectively multi-task and enthusiastically engage in continuous learning
  • Bachelor’s or Master’s (or advanced) degree in Engineering, Economics, Finance, or Business
  • Eight years of project management, contract settlement, and/or contract management experience or equivalent
  • In-depth understanding of the operating rules and regulatory requirements of California energy markets, including knowledge of CAISO, CPUC and FERC
